Challenge:
Build and run a statewide online campaign in a traditionally Republican state in 2006.
Solution:
Launched a statewide effort to support party building in Ohio the year before the election including web site and bloggers who traveled the state and covered off-year campaigns. Used aggressive blog outreach and online advertising to counter a groundswell for a potential primary opponent.
Results:
The campaign raised over $1 million online. Sherrod Brown was elected by 54% to 44%. Our work on the campaign was recognized with a Pollie award for campaign.
